Anja Aronowsky Cronberg

Founder and editor-in-chief, Vestoj

Anja Aronowsky Cronberg studied fashion at London College of Fashion, fine art at Central Saint Martins and history of design at the Royal College of Art in London before founding Vestoj close to a decade ago. Today Vestoj encompasses a publication, an online site and editorial social media platforms as well as regular live events. Anja currently lives in Paris, and since 2014 produces Vestoj under the patronage of London College of Fashion, where she also works as a Senior Research Fellow in Fashion Theory and Practice.
Vestoj is a platform for critical thinking on fashion and it bridges the gap between theory and practice in fashion, and to date includes an annual journal, an online site and live performative events, themed around topics such as ‘authenticity,’ ‘shame,’ ‘power’ and ‘failure.’ Due to its cross-disciplinary approach to fashion which includes oral history, fiction, investigative journalism, academic research and opinion pieces, and its regular contributors from both academia and industry, each Vestoj project is a reflection and interpretation of current thinking and practice around ideas of fashion and its contribution to society.
